Lyra Loudspeaker
Lyra Loudspeaker
The Lyra uses natural materials and embraces a clean, timeless design aesthetic—ensuring it looks as exceptional as it sounds and deserves pride of place in your home.
The enclosure is made of Baltic Birch plywood, natural cork facing and gasket damping materials. The internal volume is lined with raw wool fibres.
The integrated stands are made of 1" solid brushed aluminum bars that provide a non-resonant support while also conducting the electrical signals from the connectors at the base to the crossover inside the enclosure.
By selecting the highest-quality tweeter and woofer drivers and paying meticulous attention to phase alignment in the crossover design, we ensure a spatially coherent musical presentation that delivers outstanding reproduction of vocals and acoustic instruments to provide long-term listening enjoyment.
Our designer, Peter Sutcliffe, is a professional acoustics and audio architect with more than 40 years of experience in electro-acoustics, audio DSP, and loudspeaker development. His acclaimed Esper* loudspeaker designs of the early 1990s (including the E-601, E-808, and E-401) were widely praised for their distinctive aesthetic and their blend of accuracy, warmth, and musicality.
The M42 Lyra carries this legacy forward—introducing a modern, refined approach to compact loudspeaker design that draws deeply on our master craftsman’s expertise.
*Esper Signals Inc. was a Canadian Corporation that operated from 1989-2004.
