Do You Need a Turntable?

There is a lot of excitement around turntables these days. Do you need one? 

Well, here are a few questions for you to answer to see if you are ready for that new turntable!

1. Can you live without shuffle play? 
2. Do you have a vinyl collection you can listen to? Are you willing to invest $20-$40 to add new records to your collection? 
3. Are you ok changing an album every 20 minutes? 
4. Are you inclined to maintain your turntable (dust-free, stylus tip wear, tracking weight, anti-skating etc...) 

The reason everyone wants a turntable.

1. A beautiful turntable is a treasure to own and a pleasure to listen to.
2. There is a soft magic to the sound of a good turntable that is unique to the vinyl, the cartridge and the phono preamp.

If you’re not sure you are ready to take the plunge yet, then my recommendation is to consider upgrading your audio system with the best amplifier and speakers that you can afford. The turntable can then be added at a later date to complete your system!
